Was looking through moresounds and found a lib with neat logos and ident things, so thought I'd try making something. I needed a new intro for my podcast anyway, the one I'm using now while defining isn't entirely mine, and I'm not really sure how spotify handles that sort of thing. Regardless, here you go.

Yeah I tried to do something cool but fuck me I guess.

Hi all!
Today, i quickly decided to grab my phone and record one of the regional trains here in germany i frequently use. The quality is not the best and you hear people talking sometimes, but you can hear the doors, and the announcements, and also A bit of the engine. Let me know if you like it.

without the vocals made much later this is literally the first song I made in audacity. The first song I uploaded to audiopub was not the first song I made, in fact. Without the vocals because the vocals on it don't sound right.
bpm: 100
key: switches between c minor and g minor
the genre is the same as the solundra2 one, has similar instruments; plucks, the signature drums and bass from solundra 2, and the polyrhythms similarly as solundra2
trivia: one of the samples, particularly one of the plucks in the chorus, was also reused and sampled in high school festival. the bass in that song was also sampled from solundra originally, as they had a similar melody, except that high school festival's melody was higher in pitch and longer
bonus trivia, for solundra2: one of solundra2's drum loops was used in high school festival as well. Both solundra and solundra2 use similar-sounding drums, plucks and synthesizers, namely the sawtooth ones
instrumental made with
sitar (ladspa plugin, found in a plugin suite, as far as I know no longer works in 64bit builds, but I managed to make a few more samples of it, combined with ambience to form the drums)
risset drum or sin drum, sin rum was also a ladspa plugin, but I don't know whether I used sin drum or risset drum to make the bass drum of this thing
pwm (for synthesizers)
pluck, normal one, used for the plucks. The ones in stereo were done by dividing a track into stereo (usually your 2 tracks will be all selected) then one goes into generate menu, pluck, then pressing enter on that one chooses a note, pressing enter, and you have your own stereo pluck
tuning fork. Tuning fork was used for the bass, distorted a lot of times to make the signature bass sound
for making music efficiently, one of the secrets is having shortcuts mapped out to the "instruments" namely, the pluck, the pwm, the tuning fork, and so forth, but you must have samples in hand. guitar samples, drums, some others as you see fit. Pianos, whatever you desire.
and of course, the classic metronome track you must have at all times as the first track.
to esumee things, making music on it is like audio editing, except you have to go slowly about it and decide pitches, bpm, melodies and whatnot.
It sounds a bit awful because the drums were exported to ogg multiple times because I commonly don't use wav, as I don't have a computer with enough space, and it was maltreated over the months with lots of compression, llimiter, compression, limiter, EQ, and repeat, so there's that. Those were my early mistakes of making music with audacity
enjoy, or skyp, as you see fit.

this is another chiptune made in the same format I uploaded yesterday. Enjoy side-chaining.

just me playing the first endless game in megamix

Was messing with Surge and managed to make a really deep, very stereo rumble. Kind of like a strange purr.
Then I added some synthesized breaths over it, and clipped them together so that it was fluttering slightly.
I thought it actually sounded quite relaxing, so I synthesized some wind to go on top, and added some gentle synth chords with tons of reverb and subtle modulation. Also all Surge. Obviously.
Then add some improvised wing and claw foley, some Surge and some with the Macbook Mic, and just like that you're relaxing with a huge slightly synthetic sounding dragon... um... thing? I think it's quite peaceful actually. Oh and a touch of 3D as well to make it nice for the headphones.
Choose next one: Energetic or calm?

Sorry about this.

Something random I thought of when I woke up at like 3 AM and got stoned. It was the weirdest shit man. Sorry it's so incomplete and short.

Here is something very jazy and cool. I like this one.
Its even better when you realize that this was coded in a json file.
JummBox is awesome

Here it is!
i really am sorry for how it ends lol
I like discussion in the comments so you know what, ask me how I made it there and I'll answer. If you care. or dont im not ur mom
Time to choose the next one: Melodic or noisy?
By tunmi13
Remember Bob the Barber getting violated by the cupboard in my last skit? Well, here, you get a chance to listen to what it was like recording it, without the pitch filter applied. Hope you find it comical.
By Talon
This one might sound familiar to some of you.
Didn't get any choice responses for the last one, so it was random.
Alright. Choose the next one: Future Bass, or Color Bass?
By alan
I tried to make it sound like some sort of Florida breakbeat or something but it sounded like some arcade racing game
By Talon
Folk hath spoken. Noisy it is.
This is all Surge, except the parts which are very obviously samples. That would be the screaming, the lion roar, the jaguar. Everything else is surge if I remember right. The drums except the open hat in the beginning I believe, all of the basses, the glitches, etc. Surge is epic and if you do anything with audio you should have it. It's open source. You literally can't lose.
Anyway you know the deal. Pick the next one in the comments: Melodic or noisy?
btw its not always gonna be melodic or noisy but im gonna ease you in gently before we get wilder with our choices.

another vocal cover but i sing with the song this time

This is the best chiptune I have ever hurd in my entire life. Beats all of the previous chips I have uploaded to date.

part of a match with a cometic twist at the end.
this happened right at the time of recording, so the recording is unedited. we've used the replay theater to play back the match.

So I have about a billion unfinished projects and most of them probably never will be. A lot of them I posted to Masto but some I didn't. And y'all will probably get all of them unless bytebender bans me or whatever.
I do a lot of music production, synth and sound design, and other stuff. I dunno if you care about the boring tech details behind each song but if you do, drop a comment and I'll reply. And if it happens often enough I'll just drop it in the desc box in the future.
Starting out with something more musical. I have a lot of them so I decided let's add a fun interactive element. I'm gonna try to post one every day for the next little while but don't come at me if I don't. I'm gonna give you two choices in the desc box which will most likely end up being things like soft or aggressive, melodic or noise, electronic or metal, you get the idea. Drop a comment with whatever you want the next upload to be out of the choices. If there are no comments, I'll throw a die. If there are, the one with highest votes wins. I was gonna say only one choice per person but you know what, nah. Go wild. Do whatever you want im not ur dad. If we get a tie it's die throwing time. And if you're being unreasonable I'm not counting you. It's honestly real simple you should be able to figure this out.
Alright let's go. This one's melodic and kinda soft.
Make a choice for the next one: melodic or non melodic/noisy?

Mister cola is on the line! Why? Don't know. Just because I'm soooo fucking board these days and doing shit. Anyway, this thing consists entirely of sounds made by everything about the cola: cans, bottles, some processing machines, etc. Enjoy!

Hi. Here is a simple song that I once made on a reaper and recently found on the disk. It is a bit not equal to because I used to do anything about quantization xD. I hope you like it. Enjoj listening ;)

Hey! Let's remember adventure at c!
Note. I made this 4 years ago, so it doesn't really sound as good as I would like.

This is a musical dedication to my late dog, a sweet chocolate lab who lived from 2007 to 2020. It would be 5 years since his passing and I composed this piece to honor him. The title is from my mom's words, no more dogs. If you have a dog, hug them close to you please.
By Ionut
This is something I made about two years ago. I took a drum track from the internet and recorded both rhythm and solo guitar. I layered them in Sound Forge. Hope you like it!
By Ionut
Just me soloing over a backing track. Hope you enjoy it!

This is the dungeon level track in rocococo audiogame fantastique. I liked it and wanted to make a remix. enjoy.
note their might be some mixing issues, so feedback of all sorts is welcome.

so a few synthesizers got together in a bar in Gdansk. This is the end result.
