Description:
hello, it's my first time singing in public for 7 or 8 years now, please don't laugh at my voice, i know it's not good but if i didn't try, i won't succeed, i actually don't have confidence that i will get any comment, but i am opened to criticism, especially constructive criticism, please if anyone knows singing, point me to the right direction, and sorry for the cracks in my recording, i didn't know how it happened.
a note, this song is by christena perry, and i have no right to claim it as my own, nor it's music, i am only someone who tried to sing, and this is one of the songs i liked

Couple of tips, first off, for timing, find a repetitive action you can do like moving your finger up and down, and keep it in time with the song and your words landing on the beats. Second, sing louder, no seriously, confidence is half the battle, sing it like you mean it, and suddenly you do. Your voice is not bad at all, a bit more practice, some training, and it could be amazing.

thank you really, that means a lot, but i think i strained my vocals, i was about to sing stronger but suddenly, i found out that when i breathe, i feel a strange pain right under my jaw bone, this is one of the negatives if i don't have a vocal coach, which i don't

Drink water. You sound tired. Drink a lot of water. Find a scale, or a little warmup on youtube for your voice type, and just do that sometimes. Randomly. The best way to learn to be comfortable with your voice is just to sing. At any time. I do it with melodic singing and with metal vocals.

oh @The Machine, i wasn't actually so confident in it, so i, let's say didn't sing how i intended to sing?

Your jaw? I’m not sure what could be causing that but maybe try relaxing while singing, your jaw I mean.

Sounds fine. Honestly you might just try raising the key. This one's in B-Flat, you might go to D or E-Flat. Try this one in D. See if it feels better on your voice.

Other tips are great as well. Drink water, take deep breaths before you sing. Confidence is key.

thank you all, i'll take that in mind, i will try another song soon

@SweetDaddyRizz
thank you really, the instremental you sent really is better, i feel more comfortable singing it, although i do some mistakes in some notes, especially in that one, step, closer

it's not bad. the instrumental is louder than your vocals though and I can't really hear you. but it's really not bad. just drink some water before you sing

thank you, the problem i think was that my microphone is a bit low, what i will try to do next time is, i will record it using my phone, then attach it to the instremental

As others said, the singing is a little quiet. But that being said respect to you for trying to and your voice really isn't bad. Definitely drink water, especially warm water does wonders before singing. Not too hot though just slightly warm. Suggestion, make sure to practice songs without the instrumentals as wel, that allows you to sing in whatever key you're naturally singing in and with some experimentation you can figure out which key you're most comfortable with. Also gread job with the very long hold after the second chorus, a lot of people find that difficult.

practice songs without instremental?

Volume of instruments is a bit loud. Practice with and without instrumentals, getting a feel of your voice solo would allow you to experiment beter with whatever naturally aligns with your voice.
