when i read the go live instructions it says you can use OBS or any software that uses icecast server streaming

There were peole streaming on IOS with icefall or backpack studio. You can use anything that can stream to icecast

well when i try to set up SPL and the dsp encoder and when i key in my stream key for the password, the spl program says invalid password when i try to connect after making a test stream

also made sure the mount point info was correct as per instrunctions

We could debug this somewhere else to avoid highjacking this stream's chat, but have you tried AAC or standard mp3? If your broadcast software sends a nonstandard content type header for mp3 pro it'll be rejected
