Description:
You need a controller currently to play, keyboard mode is coming soon.
You do need some semblance of spacial awareness to build houses for NPC. if you do not have those, it will be harder but you should still be able to play.

OK, I really really enjoyed this. I have the game and the mod. But, I am lost as to what controls do what in the game. I have a controller. But, I couldn't really understand how to move around. I would move the left stick, but, it just kept saying things like you you you, over and over. I would also hear those things like you showed where it would say dirt 3 left 5 down. But, I never really understood if I was actually walking or not. I really want to get into this game. It reminds me a lot of Mindcraft, and even Stardew Valley.

Here is a link to the terraria Wiki for the controls:

OMG this looks so fucking cool! I used to play this game when I was young and only started getting back into it. Man if we could actually fully play this one day... Great work on the mod so far though

The end goal is to one day killing the moon lord. But Dodging and kiting is pretty easy and fun. building and exploring is a bit challenging NGL.

Yeah I'll definitely need to review this again because I'm still not really understanding how the placement cursor (especially with the smart cursor)
LeosKhai - 11/29/2025
Smart cursor is the game's original feature, it will auto target blocks if you are holding a direction and press the key to mine / use tools. When you have it off, you can use the right stick to move it where ever on the screen. The mod use the free cursor mode as I like to call it. The Direction pad lets you move in tiles next to you, so you can build. Like minecraft, blocks does need to be build from the ground up. so above the grass block usually, when it says empty. Not sure how to explain it better.

Right, makes sense actually. Thinking of picking up the game round Christmas to try this all out anyway
