    This goes hard.

0:26 onwards is absolutely incredible. I'd really like to collab if you're interested.

haha sure, but I'm a mess with these things so be warned

Bro the fucking synth in that one, I've always wondered how the hell you make that happen? That some sort of saw wave beafed up? What is it. Also fucking yes I'd be open to colaboration too.

It's not actually one synth, it's quite a lot of them. SO there's obviously the sub, heavily distorted sinewave with a pitch envelope on it that goes down very fast for punch. Then there's a screetchy synth that sounds like someone screaming, it's very quiet in the background. Then there is a white noise with a filter envelope so it actually sounds like a laser or gunshot. Then there is the main body of the synth, which is Surge XT, wavetable oscillator, with the VT Growl 6 wavetable, pitch envelope at the start, it modulates the morph all the way from 100% to 0% over the duration of each hit, additive 1+4 waveshaper in the filter section, conditioner in FX slot 1, Bonsai in FX Slot 2, and then a gate on it, LFO Tool which does... um... something? A compressor, OTT, EQ. Then I duplicated it but changed some of the parameters like the duplicate uses VT Growl 5, it has some different EQ settings, it's quieter, it's responsible for a lot of the higher end. Then next we have one of those huge drum hits, like the ones in trailer music, I cut it super short and it also adds some attack to the sound. Then next is another little percussion sound except this one is tonal and I pitched it to match the tone of the synth. That's the sorta hollow thunk on each attack if you can hear it in all the mess. Then it's another synth stab, filtered, it plays every quarter note, nothing special, just a synth going bow bow bow. And all of that goes into a bus with an aggressive compressor, some extra distortion to kinda smash it all together, Disperser, that's also the bus that has the codec plugin on it for the glitches before that high saw thing comes in, a filter for the beginning, Chroma which turns it into a chord for the little time that metal fill plays with the guitar squeal but you can barely hear that it's on, another filter for some reason? A frequency shifter which I use in the beginning for that weird pitch effect and it also pitches the thing up during that metal fill, all of that goes into the main sidechain bus, and that one has the sidechain compressor and it has the tape stop plugin on it which does the tape stop effect in the first part of the drop. So there you go lol one of these days I'll actually record this kind of thing, but honestly this process is extremely messy and I often go back and refine it a couple hours later so I do take breaks between it. Honestly when I started this one I didn't feel it at first. I didn't know if I was gonna be able to get the sound I want. I almost quit the project because it just wasn't working out until much later.
