Description:
This is my recording of the hurricane watch net this morning on 14.325 MHz. This net happens when there is a hurricane. Some volunteer ham radio operators run this net to help with sending weather information and other info to some government services, like the national weather service and the national hurricane center. This morning, a lot of people checked in, as you can tell in this recording. This net operates on two frequencies, the main one being 14.325, and 7.268 MHz at nighttime. Recorded with the NA5B webSDR in Washington DC for better coverage, and because my radio doesn't seem to want to work because it's not holding a charge. For anyone in the affected areas, stay safe out there.
