so I was messing around with my guitar and came up with a basic riff, it sounds epic to me, though warning there is absolute clumzyness involved, especially in the beginning, I'm still a newb of 5 months so please don't kill me lol.

what guitar and amp do you use?

the amp is a boss katana 50 mark II, the guitar is an esp ltd snakebyte james hetfield signature guitar.
a note though, if you're considering to get the amp get the mark III instead of the mark II, sounds a bit more open and uses usb-c instead of usb-b for recording/modifying studio settings.

I actually recorded from my apple watch so the quality is a bit meh. I could record from usb but my playing isn't smooth enough to worent it I think.
