    I knew, in my soul, when I clicked on that audio clip that I would never be the same again. Little did I know that it would be the hammerblow that drove the final nail into the coffin that held my sanity. It was a normal Thursday afternoon, the night before Halloween, just after five O'Clock. There was some crime show on TV that I didn't care about, and while I mindlessly cycled through my websites, a daily ritual that was a perfect allegory for the depressing loop of a rut my life was in, I decided that, perhaps AudioPub could cure my boredom for a moment. A friend of mine had recently uploaded, some guy from the southern U.S. I knew because of our shared love of Charley Pride. He called himself a Sweet Daddy, which I can only assume was something only the sex perverts of the world knew. He had some kind of message for us. Knowing him, it was going to be some joke. A loud sound or some overplayed TikTok soundbyte that has been plaguing the halls of every middle school from sea to shining sea. I thought myself immune to most of them. But then, I made the fateful decision to press the enter key.

    It's been six or seven years now, of this hell. I sit here in the business center of this hotel somewhere. I can't tell you where. I'm six or seven steps ahead of my pursuers, but they're always running. Always closing in. Always reaching for me. I see a man working nearby. He's tall. He's too tall. Perhaps about six foot seven...

    I wouldn't know. I've since run 67 miles away to a new hiding place. But the tall man is always there, in my mind. He's older though. Somewhere in the range of 65... maybe 66... or... no... I mustn't. They will fine me
