Description:

This is a recording of me riding the old creepy elevator in our building. This elevator always gets stuck, but this time, luckily for me, it didn’t. Note that when you hear me inside, I did not tap my cane or make any sound. Every creak, groan, and clank you hear is coming purely from the elevator’s old mechanics. I stayed for a while on the top floor, rang their doorbell, and waited for someone to open the door, but there was no one there. So you will hear the ambience of the building, then you’ll hear me going down.
Microphone used is the Roland CS-10EM connected to my Zoom H1 Essential recorder. I hope you’ll enjoy this.

    Lol, that doesn't seem very old. I hear it even has automatic doors. Wooden lifts are worse, the ones where you have to hold the button to go up, I had the displeasure of riding one, it was made of wood and creaked as if it were about to fall apart

      I still have one of these in one of the buildings at school. They don't creek lots at all, but they're so, so, slow!

    There was also this one 10 or so years ago, at someones apartment complex back in germany, this elevator which worked fine and normal, even had sliding doors. But, it had a door in front of it. It was so weird. Like, when the elevator arrived at your floor, you still had to open this other door manually that literally opens like a room door before you could enter the elevator cabin that, did slide open as it should. Idk if it was that this door moved with the cabin and the other one not? No worries, you couldn't open it when the cabin wasn't there.

      Yeah, saw that in some old building as well, think it was at the eye doctor. Quite weird, but well.

      Well the cabin has a sliding door, and at this point there are sliding doors on each level of course to prevent you just falling in there :p. And they just open at the same time. The door that opened like a normal room door didn't move. It existed on each level.

    would be fun to get the number to call that elevator and scream when someone is riding it, that would make it even more scary lol. Just imagine haha
