For as long as I've been playing Shades of Doom, I have never played above It's My Tern Daddy. I'd like to see if I can beat it on the highest difficulty. Let's see how well I can manage it!

I don't think so. TTS synths won't work with the override compatibility thing since NVDA 2026 is 64Bit now.

The problem with the coffee machine is if you use it too much you'll run out of medkits and still be in less than full health, with no way to heal yourself later

You can thank creative for that, basically. We had so much more audio research and very good directional and physically modeled audio in the 90s before creative messed it up for everyone for many many years.

Simplifying here but basically They bought all the companies doing innovation in that field and then became patent trolls and let the research completely die.

We also never fully recovered. We had steam audio, resonance, Microsoft had some physical audio projects for a while which made it into like one game before being discontinued. The only one still in kinda sorta active development is steam audio though it also has its own issues. It's super unfortunate

Steam audio has nice hrtf but their realistic reverb never sounds that great even when baked sadly. Resonance sounded a lot better in my opinion but yeah it's abandoned now.

    Sorry for the pitch change, everyone. I had to switch the software I was streaming from mid stream because of echo issues, and I guess I had a different sampling rate set. I'll be downloading the stream and sampling it down shortly. Also, I plan on streaming at the same time next week to finish Shades of Doom level 9, unless a different time would work better for you all. Stay tuned for more info! :-)

      I think that's because of the encoder switch, and the encoder I switched to had different settings. I am working on an edited version of the archive though, which I will be uploading in parts over the next few days leading up to the level 9 stream, which will be happening on Friday at 12:00 PM.
