I've always had favorites. Don't think you invented something new and expect me to go along with it. Poo on you sir! Good job though or whatever.
Talon - 09/08/2025
Don't tempt me otherwise I'll reinvent the wheel a third time!
Sir Howard - 09/08/2025
That'd be a triangle stupid

Well done.

Slay, or something. 😉

Great. That was a long-awaited feature, and I'm sure that the users will love it. Thank you the Audiopub team for this long awaited feature. The most incredible thing is, I can only see the button when I close my eyes. This is truly revolutionary and I'm pretty sure that other websites will fall suit. Again thank you for all of your hard work and I hope this message find you well
The Byte Bender - 09/08/2025
@Aedion What?
Aedion - 09/08/2025
Wait so the feature exists? I thought it was a joke that's why I reply like that lol. Now that I see, my message has a lot of spelling mistakes and it's kind of confusing. Sorry for that
Talon - 09/08/2025
Sorry for the inconvenience of actually making the feature and ruining your joke!
Aedion - 09/08/2025
Lol don't think I'm crazy. I have the pub website as a app in Google Chrome, and it's not showing up yet. The weird thing is is that on the web page works fine. I guess I have to create the app again?
Talon - 09/08/2025
try force refreshing. ctrl shift r or ctrl f5.
Aedion - 09/08/2025
I'm through a phone. I close everything and open again and it works. Thanks
McOi - 09/08/2025
Didn't know you were working along here as well. I really like how this thing is getting great new features since recently. First notifications, now favorites. Good job. Maybe you should try to make it send browser notifications so you don't need to click on notifications just to check if you got something. Unless it does that already.
BlueLegend - 09/08/2025
My favorite thing about this news is the sound I heard when I pressed play :P
Talon - 09/08/2025
Will look into browser notifs a bit later. That's not quite as straight forward, but it's on my radar. No promises as to when. Have a few more ideas I wanna get to first.
SweetDaddyRizz - 09/08/2025
Awesome new feature! Thanks. I've often thought that having a like and dislike button for comments would be cool too, would that be possible?
vrivri - 09/08/2025
this sound is very nostalgic for me. Lol
TheDude - 09/08/2025
nice job.
and hi dragon apps logo.
Prime Minister Lord Zach - 09/08/2025
@McOi remember this app is actually open source so anybody could contribute to it.

I like this, but on the other hand something feels a little off. Let me explain how I kind of feel. Favorites turn listening into a competition rather than a shared experience. Some people may start caring more about numbers than expression. Also, Creators who don’t get favorites might feel their work isn’t valued, even if people enjoy it quietly. That can discourage newer or smaller voices. It's starting to feel like a youtube. I like notifications, hell even a way to subscribe. But remember we're here to share folks, not some publicity content farm. This may sound ironic coming from me, someone who loves publicity and sharing, but I dunno. Am I being too harsh? Probably. On the other hand:
•
Listeners can bookmark stuff they personally love for quick re-listening.
•
Creators can see what connects most with people.
•
It gives a way for listeners to interact without writing feedback.
So I'm probably looking too much in to it, but what do you all think. I do love the work put in to this though. I'm going to go favorite a bunch of shit now, so hit me up in the comments.
jonnyboy1991 - 09/08/2025
I'll just favorite a whole bunch of shit just to favorite a whole bunch of shit.
SweetDaddyRizz - 09/08/2025
@GigaSound
I see the favorite button as more similar to X/Twitter's bookmark button than a like button. I don't think it's bad. It's a nice way to save things you like and don't want to lose in the pages upon pages of files. If Audiopub was doing monetization, maybe I would think differently, but since there's no money to be made here I think it's fine.
GigaSound - 09/08/2025
@SweetDaddyRizz You know what? That makes sence. I like that.
LeosKhai - 09/09/2025
The feed gave me this audio, rar.
VIPPotato - 09/09/2025
how about adding all of my posts to my favourites? It might increase my self esteem or something lol
KamiKitsune - 09/10/2025
not sure if this is a bug or not, but the amount of favorites I have on an audio is showing as 0 on my profile, but 2 on the home feed.
Talon - 09/10/2025
Yup that does sound like a bug. rip
