my question for this one. There is this tripplet polyrhythm going on during the hole beat. How the hell did you make that? I am a sound designer so I understand a lot, but making sounds dubsteppy and larger than life I just, can't, wrap my head around! I understand the OTT, but the distortion. And the sidechaining too! I'm sitting here wondering if I should even attempt this crap in reaper or if I should just go to ableton. I mean I have it sitting here on my desktop, I just, don't know where to begin. I mean here I am with about a terrabyte of native instrument libraries (yes I purchased them) and I don't think a single one in komplete 13 can give me any of what I need!

mmm. The triplets? When you record or program midi and go to quantize, there's the quantize grid, but there's also a combo that says straight. You can change that to any number of options, including triplets. But I think I actually used swing for this, at least for the drums. So set that to Swing, then set the swing amount to maybe something like 70? The rest is just stuff in Surge, which has the same options for different beat patterns. Also some of it is just accidental. Like that main synth sound. I was actually trying to model it somewhat on some of the weird tinnitus noises I hear sometimes, but then I got kinda carried away and it turned into this. lol
