A total classic! This one was spot-lit by the Mod Archive some years ago, and has been downloaded from them over 100,000 times. I think that says a lot!
I am also reliably informed (cough by YouTube comments cough) that Captain would've been 15/16 when he made this. Once again, don't under-estimate children!
Had to compress this one to get it to upload, sorry, Opus is good so I'm sure you'll forgive me!

Yesterday a little bird landed on my windowsill and probably pecked around for food. Maybe it also was interested in using the windshield of my microphones as nesting material? Hopefully it doesn't chew through the cable someday. š

Yes, I know I used the same kombo over and over again, but hay, I didn't expect to get that far.

Credit is appreciated, but not necessary. Originally used drums, but this is the solo version. PS: The drums used was actually a TR drum machine. It was not meant to be a real drum kit.

So I was going through the Sonniss GDC 2020 game audio bundle and came across the sound of an MG42 firing at the mic from a distance.
It's definitely a cool sound to capture, but imagine for a second that you were a soldier going up against one of these thingsāor even multiple.
I mean, seriously, it sounds terrifying.
For reference, this thing fires 1,200 bullets per minute, so thatās 20 bullets every second.
Crazy.

I was super hyped making this yesterday, but listening back now⦠Iām not really feeling it. It just kinda loops the same thing over and over. Not 'cause Iām lazy or anythingāI legit just couldnāt think of anything else. Also, fair warning, Iām not the best at mixing, so it might be a bit loud. Oh, and Iāve got a case of writerās guitarālike writerās block, but for music. lmfao. The inspiration isn't there, man.

I really don't

Finally started to learn reaper, and that's how I practice. I know there are some mistakes like things not looped well but hope you'll enjoy it anyway.
I like blending chiptunes with classics of hip-hop because that makes it sound more interesting and is quite an unique idea, or atleast I haven't seen anyone else doing it.

The title is pretty self-explanatory

IDK, I've looked hard , for years and years. I basically have no hope, but figured I'd try here. Blind people seem to be really into old-school and archival stuff, so maybe someone will find it in their collection or on one of their hard drives or (if they're true giggachads, look for it online š).
I scoured torrent sites, the Wayback Machine ā but I'm also not an expert at either of those things.
This is The Cricket in Times Square Part 1/2. I used to have this collection known as "16 Children's Classics and Award Winners". It was a set of 16 audiobooks of some classics, dramatized. Each was in its own folder, and each had two parts.
Some notable titles include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, A cricket in Times Square, Harry Cat's Puppy (which was in the same universe as The Cricket in Times Square), Across Five Aprils, Call It Courage, A Wrinkle in Time, and A Wind Something-or-Another ā same universe as Wrinkle. Really fun stuff.
The point is, they were really old quality (in a good way), really well done, and I loved them. They were the first ever... stories I guess? That I ever read.
Someone in my family put them on the very first MP3 player I ever got. That was like nearly 12 years ago now maybe more. I used to have them on a PC that crashed. I tried to recover it, but it was this second-hand old PC my mom was using, one the workplace had lent her so it sucked.
I had sent them to a friend, but the fucker never sent it back to me.
Then I recovered just this one book, and then I lost Part 2 again somehow :((
Anyway sob story aside : point is, I would really, really, really like it if anyone else has heard of these or could find them. I believe originally they were obtained via taurent.
Hmm... maybe I should cross-post this on audiogames.net.

Shameless idea stealing. Potato's is funnier, and also I forgot my lines halfway through and didn't feel like cutting it up. Woops.

Recorded with a pickup coil.
That headset was a disappointment anyway.

This recording captures an emergency dispatch call from El Dorado County involving a serious dog attack. A woman called 911 reporting that she had been attacked by two pit bulls. During the call, the dispatcher relays that a nearby man attempted to intervene by firing a single rifle shot into the air, likely to scare the dogs away. The woman was able to escape the scene following the gunshot.
A medical alert tone is then heard over the radio. According to the dispatcher, this was triggered because the woman had specifically requested medical attention for injuries she sustained during the attack. Emergency medical services were subsequently dispatched to her location. I am unsure of what happened after the fact, want to put your thearies in the comments? your welcome to do so.

Gotta love the old fassioned audio to midi converts. it tends to create a very literal, raw pitch tracking of the waveform. That includes micro-pitch shifts, harmonics, and overtones. These raw converters donāt try to "interpret" the sound as notesāthey just follow the exact pitch and envelope they detect.
Thatās why your MIDI ends up sounding like itās ātalkingā. The AI powered audio to midi converters cannot do this, so you gotta go back to the original! I used a very basic piano for this.
